Tigard Shelter

  • Our Year-Round Shelter Services: We are proud to offer a year-round, low-barrier shelter designed to provide safety, stability, and a sense of community for those experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to meet people where they are and support them with compassion, dignity, and respect.

  • Day Services: Our doors are open to the public daily from 7 AM to 7 PM, offering a safe and welcoming environment throughout the day. You can receive a warm meal, showers, and connect with service providers. ​

  • Overnight Shelter: Our overnight shelter operates 365 days a year and can accommodate up to 60 individuals per night. To receive a permanent bed, please contact Community Action at 503-640-3263.

  • Low-Barrier and Inclusive: We are committed to creating an inclusive space where everyone feels seen, supported, and safe.

Portland General Electric’s Green Future Program

Thanks to partnership with PGE, we produce a substantial portion of the energy we use at the Tigard shelter from solar panels.

This project has been made possible by customers participating in PGE's Green Future Program through the PGE Renewable Development Fund.

Community benefit

Producing solar power benefits our community broadly in the sense it contributes to a cleaner environment for everyone. For the guests at the Shelter & Resource Center, it has a deeper impact.

 

Generating solar power offsets future utility costs. Those savings go right back into direct support for our guests through meals, hygiene products, and supportive services that help them work toward a stable housing situation.​

We are proud to share data regarding the current and historic power generation thanks to this project. We update this information quarterly; however, anyone in the public may request up-to-date data by emailing info@justcompassionewc.com.
